8 Great Immune-boosters

So today I started making a list. Of all the immunity-boosting botanicals in our Potions. When I got to number 27, I thought: look, no-one is going to want to read about twenty-seven different herbs. It’s going to look opportunistic and showy-offy, like ‘we’ve got more botanicals than you have!’ So before I begin, I just want to say that this is most definitely not the spirit in which this post is intended. It just struck me, as I started making my list, that of course - of course! - we have masses of anti-viral immune-boosting botanicals in our Potions. All eight flavours are packed with them.

It was why I started dreaming up this business in the first place: when I had cancer five years ago and couldn’t find anything scrumptious and at the same time seriously good for me to drink. Something portable, convenient, super-charging to my health. And not in a one-shot-and-it’s-over kind of way. Shots have their place, of course. But even the expression ‘shot’ suggests a kind of quick fix and you’re done, and a ‘better an ACV shot than tequila, right?’ kind of mentality. Which is way, way off where we’re at here.

Our Potions are all about making the big, deep change as delicious and natural as possible. They’re not full of crazy new alien plant species that no-one has heard of before. Most of our Potions are made up of herbs you’re likely to find in any garden, or by any wayside. Rose, burdock, cleavers, fennel, elderflower, dandelion, peppermint, marshmallow, echinacea. Of course we’ve also travelled the spice routes to include things like Holy Basil, astragalus and cloves.

But it’s not about suggesting some miracle woo-woo cure or quick fix. It’s about offering up these amazing botanical allies in a way that is friendly, super-tasty and effective. And once you’ve befriended them, and realised that these profoundly beneficial botanicals can be part of your everyday life: you’ve just done the best thing you can right now to protect and boost your best health, and supercharge your all-important immune-system. So get your kiddos on their starting-blocks (mine are demons at this), and scissors at the ready: next on Nature’s menu is cleavers, dandelion and peppermint. Snip away! Or you could of course just order in your supplies of Positive Potions…
