The Retreat, New Forest

OK - so another reason I haven’t been posting into this journal a great deal recently, is that Positive Potions has been putting out arms and legs in all sorts of directions, and one of them is a wonderful new holistic health /retreat space in the New Forest which I’ve just launched: The Retreat, New Forest. (I like telling it how it is, so this seemed the best name for it!) No website yet (just going to start writing that one this week), but an Instagram page @theretreatnewforest so take a look to see what we’re up to…

Serving plenty of Positive Potions all the way, of course, along with these two Retreat blend teas, made with our rejuvenating and delicious herbs from the Positive Potions gardens at Bodorgan.

And as I am a great believer in building the thing you want to see - or being the change - this was something I really wanted to see there. It’s a beautiful old Georgian family house, for a time a hotel, and now a flourishing hub of wellness and high vibrations - with a (dinky, compared to Bodorgan) walled garden, where we’ll of course be growing some experimental herbs as the summer progresses…

There are beautiful airy rooms for classes and workshops, lovely bedrooms and amazing grounds, woods and a lake for wild swimming, so the space is booking up fast, which is wonderful. So far we have hosted Reiki weekend retreats with Richard Ellis and Donna van Vuuren; Scania Price and Nikki Crowe gong baths; Diana Briggs at Gentle Natural Yoga Therapy regular classes; a Jackie Halford yoga day retreat; a Heike Jenkins drumming workshop; Conscious Clubbing - incredible! - with Hagen Rose and Cacao Temple; and we’re just about to start a couple of lovely regular Hatha classes with Danni at Soulspace; also yoga and Ayurveda with Ellie Cohn; and our first plant-based pop up restaurant day on 6th June with Gilly at Wylde Green Kitchen.

Phew! That’s a lot of loveliness going on in one place! Hence the lack of posting…

And next up: The Retreat, Anglesey - of course! So look out for news of that here and online. Happy, busy days…
